TOM-5. Grinding machine for straightening lapping and other bodies of rotation

The TOM-5 model machine is designed for sharpening lappers and other bodies of rotation (drills, cutters, cores, etc.) with any range of angles with their installation in prisms-holders.
An abrasive (grinding) stone in the form of a cup is used as a working tool in the machine.

The TOM-5 grinding machine consists of a base (pos.13). On the base there is a movable table on the X axis (pos.1), a movable table on the Y axis (pos.2), a rotary table (pos.5) with an electric drive of the body of rotation (pos.6) , prisms (pos.9) and a protractor (pos.7). There is a stop on the body of the prisms (pos.4) for installing the lapping (body of rotation) (pos.10). On the base on the left there is a housing with an electric motor and an abrasive stone (pos.5), on the right there is a control unit (pos.14) on which a control panel is installed (pos.15). LED backlight lamp with magnification lens (pos.8) installed on the base behind the control unit. Inside the machine body (pos.3) power supplies with control boards are installed.

The machine is mounted on adjustable shock-absorbing legs (pos.12). A level (pos.11) is installed on the base to monitor the correct installation of the machine. To protect against sparks and abrasives when working with stone (item 14), a yellow-colored protection is installed on the motor housing (item 17)

On the back side of the machine there is a connector for connecting a 220 volt power cable, a diode lamp backlight switch and a 220 volt socket with a protective cover for additional devices.
